It’s only Wednesday, but we’ve already got a winner for grossest tweet of the week by a presidential hopeful: New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, whose #EqualPayDay post went terribly wrong.

In an unfortunate tweet caught by Twitchy, Cuomo decided he would celebrate Equal Pay Day with a virtue-signaling statement decrying the “gender wage gap” and celebrating the work he was doing to combat it.

“Today on #EqualPayDay we know that the issue is not only shattering the glass ceiling but also lifting women up from the sticky floor,” he wrote.

What exactly he meant by the sticky floor or why he thought that mental image would inspire women is unclear.
